Happy Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice, this marks the astronomical start of summer in the northern half of the globe. Litha (pronounced “LIH-tha”), or Midsummer, this day marks the longest day and shortest night of the calendar year.

It is a celebration of light & abundance. During this Sabbath, fire is the ruling element🔥.

Fires are often lit during this occasion to evoke protection, fertility, and prosperity.

This is also a perfect time for transformation; as it represents change in the yearly solar cycle and so too, must you change. If we stayed the same, we'd never grow as a person or spiritually.

So, I leave you with this Summer Solstice blessing… “May the long-time Sun shine upon you. May all love surround you, and may the purest light within you, guide your way.”

How are you celebrating the Summer Solstice?

My first solstice! I'm going to try to log off of work on time so I can take advantage of the sunlight. Hope to just be able to sit and maybe meditate a bit in the sun at home. I'd also like to make some sun tea. In the evening I plan on lighting some yellow and white candles to keep the celebration going.

I'm camping with friends (just 1 day)... last night we had a campfire, and later today I'll go do some yoga in the woods, and enjoy some time in the pool :) when I get home this evening, definitely lighting candles n doing some meditation/introspection 🙏🏻
