A MUST Have for This Winter Season

Updated: Oct 14, 2020

Make sure you have some of this ready to go in your fridge this winter!

Honey Tea

Makes about 2 cups

What you will need:

1. Two organic lemons thoroughly cleaned and sliced

2. Two piece of ginger about the size of your pointer and middle finger together sliced into coin size pieces

3. 1 1/4 Cup organic honey

4. 1 shot of whiskey, brandy, or bourbon

5. 16 ounce mason jar

Directions:

Mix together a pile of lemon and ginger slices. Now divide your lemon and ginger in half.

In your jar place 1/2 of your lemon slices and sliced ginger.

Pour honey (organic is best) over it slowly. Let the honey sink down and around the lemon and ginger slices.

Make sure when the honey has filled in all the gaps, there is enough to cover the top with your other half of lemon and ginger slices.

Add your shot of alcohol.

Close jar, shake and put it in the fridge, it will form into a "jelly".

To serve: Add two tablespoons of the "jelly" into a mug and pour boiling water over it. You can also steep a peppermint tea bag in this mixture to aid in breathing.

This should sit in your fridge for about a week before using.

Store in fridge 2-3 months.
